Fall is one of my favourite times of the year living on the East Coast. Watching the leaves change on the trees invokes so many fond memories of my childhood. Luckily sunrises on the east coast are just as iconic as the changing of the leaves.
The weekends are the absolute perfect time to grab the family, hop in the car and hit the road. Nature is at her finest during the early fall months. Indian Summers, watching the leaves changing and viewing a sunrise along the East coast are amazing. Growing up in Michigan makes me partial to the East coast and all of natures’ picturesque views. Lighthouses, seagulls, beaches, the list is full of charming views to fill your senses.
Lighthouse Beach located in Chatham, Ma. offers an amazing cape view in the morning. If you’re visiting the nation’s capital, Washington, D, C., the sunrises behind the Washington monument. Camel’s Hump in Huntington, VT offers an eyepopping Mountainview of the sunrise, visible from multiple locations. So you see where I’m going with this, right? All along the East Coast in just about every town and state sunrise options are viewable and calling you to come out and enjoy a look. In fact, writing this article and doing some research has piqued my interetests to seek out a weekend trip for me and my family. When my boys were younger we used to visit farms and apple orchards but now that they are teens they’ve really outgrown these type of outings. Now, that they have a drivers license I think they would love to drive along the interstate highways enjoying the eastern sunrises. Many of the states are close enough to see more than one sunrise in a weekend. So, what are you waiting for? Go view an Eastern Sunrise!
