Here in Michigan we’re winding down the second week of school. The leaves have already began to change on the trees and fall is rapidly approaching. Fall is my absolute favorite time of the year. About a month ago the hubby and I were invited to a menu tasting at The Rusty Bucket, upscale restaurant, in Bingham Farms, MI. Believe me when I tell you we were treated like royalty. The hospitality was Exceptional, the drinks (alcoholic and non- alcoholic) were Awesome and the food…. the food was Phenomenal! What’s in a name? The Rusty Bucket… I know when you hear the name it may confuse you or you may question how did they come up with THAT name. But I’m here to tell you, don’t let the name stop you from experiencing good vibes, good food and good drinks. The menu is American fare food made with the freshest ingredients available and seasoned to perfection. First, on my taste testing journey was fried pickles. In the past I’ve tried fried pickles but nothing prepared me for the fried pickles I consumed at The Rusty Bucket. They were crunchy and flavorful without being soggy or bitter. I could tell great culinary care was given in the preparation of these crunchy spears.
Have you ever had a busy or hectic day running errands or attending meetings and doing things for other people all day? Yeah me neither… But if you have experienced this and at the end of the day you decide I really need a drink to unwind…. Well… The Rusty Bucket is an excellent place to get a signature crafted drink, sit back and just RELAX & RELEASE. In fact if you’re a lover of bourbon. the owner, and chief Buckateer of The Rusty Bucket has his 11th edition Woodford Reserve Bourbon available for thirsty people. Made in small batches, it is THEE Bourbon of all Bourbons. I enjoyed mine in a Bourbon Punch that was tasty as it was beautiful to look at before I gobbled it all down.
Brunch at The Rusty Bucket
On Saturday & Sundays you’re in for a real treat because the Rusty Bucket serves brunch. I absolutely love a good brunch spot to hang out with my girlfriends to catch up on the week and nom on some good comfort foods. I hear as a bonus they serve… get this…. DONUTS cooked to order!! How awesome is that?
Hurricane Harvey & Irma Relief
On Monday, September 18 Ocean Prime Detroit, along with all other Ocean Prime and Cameron Mitchell restaurants coast to coast, will be donating all profits to the American Red Cross Disaster Relief Fund.
With a goal of donating more than $150,000, the money raised will provide food, shelter and other emergency supplies to victims of both hurricanes.
Also, in addition to donating profits from sales, each restaurant will also encourage guests to make donations. On September 18, for every $100 donation made to the American Red Cross, the company will provide guests with a $25 Cameron Mitchell Restaurants’ promotional gift card valid toward any food purchases on their next visit.
Check out the Rusty Bucket and please come back and tell me about your experience!
