We’re in the process of closing on a home and one of my main concerns moving to a new home and neighborhood is safety. Protecting my family and our home while we’re at home and away is extremely important. Vivint home security is a new, user friendly, a lacarte home security service that doesn’t require a contract. Recently, I watched Vivint in action during a demo at my local Best Buy store. I was truly wowed with the unique and modern home security technology features.
Vivint offers outdoor cameras with real time color panoramic views. You can see whose at the door whether you’re at home or on vacation via the app. The best part I loved about these cameras is the night vision technology. No worrying about those grainy black and white videos when identifying an intruder.
The Ping indoor camera allows you to see what’s going on inside your home no matter where you are via an app on your phone. It’s small in size, unobtrusive and blends in with any decor. It can be programmed for alerts and notifications and is also fitted with night vision technology. The affordability of the cameras is an invaluable savings at $3.33/camera a month.
The Sky Control Panel puts control of your entire home literally at your fingertips.
The Vivint Sky Control Panel is a 7″ touch screen panel with installed technology to control your lighting, temperature all with complete 24 hour monitoring services.
Vivint Smart Locks
As a mom of three teenage sons I can’t tell you the numerous times I’ve had a kid lose his house key. It is the most frustrating thing in the world at the time. Stop whatever it is I’m doing only to come home to let someone in who lost their key. Then, the fear and anxiousness wondering if someone is going to break in your home with the lost key. With Vivint Smart locks all of those fears and worries are put to rest. Consumers program their own unique code to open and lock doors. No key, no problem. Someone forgets the code, you can unlock the door for them through the app.
Vivint has partnered with some of the biggest names in technology to ensure all of their products and services are the best there is to offer. Brands like Google, Philips and AT&T to name just a few.
No Contract, EVER!
The No contract option is another caveat of the Vivint system I love. The flexibility in pricing allows customers to change their plans as their lifestyle changes. We’ve all been there, subscribing to a service we no longer need or can afford but trapped in a contract. Vivint’s monthly fee is not etched in stone, you can start or stop according to your budget without any fees attached. The costs for the complete system which includes, outdoor camera, door bell camera, smart locks, 24/7 monitoring, burglary detection and some more cool features is $399. The up-front cost is more than I can afford for the complete system at this time. I chose features and items I felt were needed at the time and plan to purchase the other items when I can afford it.
