In cased you missed it, last Wednesday Pop TV premiered a new TV show, Hollywood Darlings, starring Jodie Sweetin (Full House & Fuller House), Beverly Mitchell (7th Heaven) and Christine Lakin (Step by Step). The show is not a reality show in the traditional sense but based more upon the real life friendship of the stars. A balance between comedy and reality following the trio as they balance motherhood, friendship and Hollywood. The improvised comedy show takes pieces from each characters life and builds episodes around these issues. After viewing last week’s premiere episode I feel the show will be around for quite sometime. Unlike reality TV, the show is unscripted. It gives us all a peek into the life of real life Hollywood moms. As a working mom I know balancing life is challenging. Being able to watch other women do it in a comedic fashion is stress relieving and let’s me know I’m not alone in many of my challenges. The feeling of school girl camaraderie, foolishness and good ol fashioned friendship rings true and should resonate with millenials and moms everywhere from all walks of life.
If you were a fan of any of the 90’s series/sitcoms the ladies performed on when they were younger, it’s different to watch them all grown up. The series gives up just a glimpse into what its like to be a working Hollywood mom. Star, Jodie Sweetin describes the relationships as a close-knit tribe that keeps adding people along the way.If you’re wondering what all of the hoopla is about be sure to tune into Pop TV tonight at 8 pm EST and every Wednesday for laughs and to catch up with the ladies. View a clip of the show on the Hollywood Darlings Facebook Page.
