Spring has officially sprung and even though my budget is tight every year I manage to add new clothes to my wardrobe. Just recently a clothing store who I have a credit card with and had somehow manage to pay down sent me an email about a sale and just like that I’m back in debt again. Yes, I have clothes, plenty of clothes, some may say too many clothes but their old clothes. Spring is about new beginnings, spring weather and new clothes, in my mind anyway.
While going through my closet of old clothes I found quite a few items I’ve never worn. Many actually still had the price tag on them. I know, and yet I’m purchasing new clothes. I was surprised to learn in a recent study that was conducted; more than 15% of women and nearly 20% of men said that they’ve only worn 10% or less of their closet in the last 6 months. So, at least I’m on trend there. I know the smart thing to do would be to purge some clothes from my wardrobe but in the back of mind I’ll wear those clothes, one day, eventually.
If you find yourself short of cash and with a closet full of clothes you haven’t worn there are several ways to make some quick cash. A yard or tag sale can bring in some quick cash with little or no preparation. Online auction sites are another great way to sale old or unwanted items, especially if they are brand new, intact with the tags still on them. In some instances you can get back almost as much as you originally paid for the item.
My obsession is shoes, I buy a new pair of shoes whenever the mood hits me. At last count I probably own about 100 or so pairs of shoes. What can I say women love shoes and I’m no exception. What is your spring trend I would love to find out.
