With all of the hustle and bustle of the holidays sometimes it’s nice to find a cozy place and enjoy a nice sit down dinner. Enjoy good food, atmosphere and service, some may say it’s good for the soul. This past Saturday while doing some shopping at nearby Oakland Mall, the hubs and I had a wonderful dinner at Bonefish Grill, in Troy, MI.
We found the staff to be extremely friendly and knowledgeable of the menu and offerings. Prior to our visit, several friends and family encouraged us to try the “Bang Bang Shrimp” appetizer. Battered fried shrimp with a secret sauce lightly added, the Bang Bang Shrimp…. well it BANGS!!! True to it’s name it was served with chop sticks (probably to slow you down, LOL), crunchy and packed with flavor and very addictive. In fact, I’m told by a reputable source the “Bang Bang Shrimp” has a cult following.
Bonefish Grill is an authentic seafood restaurant with fresh catch of the day offerings like Swordfish, Wild Snapper and wild Mahi Mahi, just to name a few. If you’re looking for a refreshing winter cocktail, might I suggest the Winter White Cosmo, while my husband suggests the Mule. Both drinks were made perfectly and shook the winter chill from our fingers and toes.
If your mouth is watering now,I have yet to mention our main course! My husband continued throughout the meal to tell me what a great time he was having. The drinks were good, the appetizers were great and the main course was AMAZING!!! Where have we been? Why haven’t we been to Bonefish Grill before now? We kept asking ourselves. It was as if someone had kept this secret all to themselves.

Once our food arrived we were blown away! It was so much food. After almost OD’ing on the “Bang Bang Shrimp”, the heavenly crusty bread with pesto dip and sipping on our drinks, we barely had room left to eat our meals. We gave it the old college try, but try as we might we could not finish all of our food. Our waitress was kind enough to bring us personalized carry home boxes. They were so cute I had to snap a pic.
Just so, I could give my readers a thorough review of Bonefish Grill’s Winter Menu, we made ourselves eat the Pumpkin Brulee. It was magnificent as well as decadent and delightful to my palette.
The hubs and I had a helluva date night at Bonefish Grill. If you relationship could use a good ol fashioned “Date Night” I suggest Bonefish Grill in Troy, MI.
P.S. If you’re really anxious to try the “Bang Bang Shrimp”, I hear on Wednesdays it’s sold at a HUGE Discount!!!
