Even though no one has officially whispered in “Mother Natures” ear it is officially SPRING.
A start of a new season, warmer weather…(eventually) and new tasty palatable wines to taste like Dark Horse Sauvignon Blanc.
Most of you who read my blog know I love and I mean LOVE a glass wine at least daily. It soothes the beast in me and mellows out my evenings so I can write with a clear head. Where as coffee clears the cobwebs in my head in the morning, wine brings me down and mellows me out in the evenings. Self-medicating? Maybe… But, I’ve admitted it and you know what the say…. That’s the First Step!
Just last week I had the pleasure of drinking Dark Horse Sauvignon Blanc 2014. I paired it with a fish dish and it was wonderful. The crisp and fruity tones were very intoxicating. I found myself looking at the bottle a few times not believing this is sold for UNDER $10 per 750ml bottle. Surely, their must be a mistake. It has the taste of a much more expensive wine. The kind that would be sold in a fancy restaurant with a wine maitre de complete with a crisp white linen napkin draped over his arm extending a cork for me to sniff.
But no, it was not so. No maitre de, no fancy shmancy pricing just me at my dining room table sipping on GOOD wine at dinner time. In fact, this wine doesn’t even come with a cork. It has an easily accessible screw on top. O-E-M-gee! it’s the wine that just keeps on giving! If you enjoy the crisp taste of New Zealand wines, you’ll love the Dark Horse Sauvignon Blanc via California. That’s right, it’s a Made-in America wine too. Although, I enjoyed my wine with fish it would go well with BBQ, chicken, lamb or just alone if you feel the notion.
I don’t know what time it is where you are but I’m sure by now you are probably ready to try a bottle of this great tasting wine yourself. I encourage you to do so. Remember it’s 12 someplace in the world, right? Oh and please drink responsibly. Dark Horse Sauvignon Blanc is available nationwide wherever wine is sold. Visit Dark Horse Wine for more info and be sure and Tweet them @DarkHorseWine on Twitter and Instagram. I did and they tweeted me right back. #BeBold
