The very kind people at bocandy have generously seen fit to send me another box of candy to review. This month’s box brought another shipment of International candy’s not available at your local candy shop.
As I stated before, bocandy is an International candy subscription service. Subscriptions can be purchased in four (4), six (6), or eight (8) month subscriptions. In the past I received an email telling me my candy was on the way with a short description of where and the type of candy included. This shipment came with an email telling me my shipment was on the way but I did not receive a description telling me about the candy. This is a bummer because I’m forced to use the trial and error method when trying the candies. Which I suppose can also be a treat to some who like surprises.
The Tunnock’s candy bar was a whipped chocolate bar that was very light and airy and I enjoyed it very much. Their were also various (about 10) fruit chews that my sons enjoyed.
The Melkerull was an entire roll of all milk chocolate disk shaped candies that were melt-in-your mouth good.
The Daim was a crunchy caramel bar that really reminded me of a Skor candy bar and I wished I had more of.
The Mirage milk chocolate bar was also surprisingly light and airy milk chocolate bar.
The Monster Money I’ve received in other boxes and no one in my household cares for it all. It taste like you’re eating processed Styrofoam. Although it melts in your mouth quite quickly, it is tasteless and more of a novelty than a food item.
All in all I enjoy every time I am able to review another bocandy subscription box. Gone are the iconic red envelopes in which the candy was shipped in when the company was first started. With the success of the subscription service the company now has it’s own warehouse and are no longer using the red envelopes.
Because I’ve ever only reviewed the service and have never actually paid I can’t say if the amount that I receive is the same amount that a paying customer would also receive. That being said once I open the box and start eating I’m always left wanting more. I also wonder if you’re able to contact the company and order more of a particular candy that you really enjoy. If so, that would be awesome.
The company has also branched out and now has added jerky to their subscription service. So, if you’re in the mood for International candy or jerky I recommend you give bocandy a try.
