We enjoy spaghetti but sometimes I can get in a rut when preparing it for the family. I use the same ol’ ingredients when I know I can kick it up a notch. Last week I was tasked to make spaghetti and found the only meat available was a ton of Italian Sausage. So, Spaghetti with Italian Sausage is what we had for dinner.
Spaghetti is always my go-to-meal when we are getting low on groceries and it’s not time to go full on grocery shopping. I usually keep 3 or 4 boxes of spaghetti noodles and I have tomato sauce that my neighbor canned fresh last year, jars of it. When I make spaghetti I used to use hamburger but the quality of the hamburger at our neighborhood store is so horrendous and greasy I can’t in good conscious serve it to my family anymore. Sometimes I use ground turkey, but this time the only available meat was Italian sausage and it turned out really great. I chopped the sausage in bite size pieces and left the casing on but you can remove the casing if you choose.
