This past Christmas I went on a tablet buying spree for my boys and my husband. I bought tablets for all of them. Our desktop computer and ancient laptops had pretty much ran than course and the prices for tablets were hard to pass up.
When I was given the opportunity to review the Kantek Rotating Desk Top Tablet Stand I knew someone in my household would be able to use and review this item.
The stand is made up of a hard industrial strength plastic; sturdy and able to withstand destructive teenage boys. I enjoyed the fact that it wasn’t flimsy and would not break after a spill or two. I was also glad to know the stand can be adjusted to fit several different tablet styles and rotates for optimum viewing in Landscape or Portrait positions. Once the tablet is placed in the stand it is secure and can swivel 360′ giving the illusion of being on a desktop computer; perfect for school assignments or when you want to sit up straight while browsing the web or reading.
The Kantek stand can be purchased at Shoplet for $19.99 an excellent priced compared to similar stands which are sold for as high as $100 or more. Surprisingly the Kantek stand received more use from my husband than my sons. My boys’ prefer the tablet covers that come with keyboards they can take on the go. The boys’ are more on the move and prefer portability, and interactive functionality.
Overall if you’re looking for a stable tablet stand as oppose to a tablet cover this item is a great choice. I think it would be a great device to use at the coffee shop or at the library when using your tablet. It’s sturdy and it’s portable enough to carry along with you. While it won’t protect your tablet like a cover it will allow you to type, search and browse upright.
