Did you guess my true mom confession? I don’t mate socks when I do laundry. That’s right, my time is wayyy to precious to sit around trying figure out which socks go together. The men/boys in my house mostly wear white athletic socks and all of their socks are the same size. Many years ago as I did my families laundry all alone at our local laundromat I made the critical decision that would change our lives forever…
As I pulled socks out of the laundry I placed them all in a pile separating them only by colors. I then put all of their socks in a basket and let them spend the time figuring out which sock goes with the other. Needless to say no one was very happy about my new decision, but who cares, I do the bulk of the laundry they don’t. Besides the last time I checked the mom handbook I’m only required to clean and fold their clothes, I saw no mention of mating 100’s of pairs of white athletic socks.
Mom Premiere’s Monday September 23rd at 9:30 ET/8:30 CT on CBS
raising two children in a world full of temptations and pitfalls, and
multiple Emmy Award winner Allison Janney as her critical, estranged
mother. Christy is a waitress at a posh Napa Valley establishment who is
four months clean and doing her best to be a good mom and
Bonnie reappears, chock-full of passive-aggressive insights into
Christy’s many mistakes. Bonnie joins Christy’s already complicated
circle of relationships: her handsome, married boss – and lover –
Gabriel; the restaurant’s hot-tempered chef, Rudy; her pretty,
16-going-on-25-yearold daughter, Violet; her sweet but overly honest
son, Roscoe; her irresponsible ex and Roscoe’s father, Baxter; and
Violet’s clueless boyfriend, Luke. Christy tries to remain positive as
she pursues her new path in life, but she faces an uphill battle,
surrounded by a dubious support system – and a copious amount of
dysfunction. Premieres Monday, Sept. 23, 2013, on the CBS Television Network.
