Long before Kramer (from Seinfeld) wowed us with his Coffee Table book, I have been obsessed with coffee tables. It’s not the fact that coffee is a must have in my life either.
I feel that no living room is complete without a coffee table. It really ties a room together, I know now I sound like the Jeff Bridges in the Big Lebowski. But it’s so true. To me, a living room looks naked or definitely like it’s missing something if it doesn’t have a coffee table. Not just any coffee table either. When I speak of a coffee table I’m not talking about those hideous little wooden tables from the 70’s. When I speak about coffee tables I’m talking about a “Kick Ass” coffee table, something with a “Wow” factor.
It’s best to view a wide range of colorful coffee tables before you make your final decision.
I personally enjoy a heavy marble type of coffee table. Heavy means sturdy and all furniture in my house has to be “boy proof”. Also the range of colors marble is available in is so vast you could choose just about any color you want. Wooden tables have come a long way from the 70’s and many of them are “eye catchers” too.
for the first time and takes a gander at my coffee table I want to see the look
in their eyes. The shine the light, that look of approval and most of all, Awe.
Nothing makes me happier than knowing that I have impressed them with my amateur
interior design abilities. Yes, I am obsessed with coffee tables. Marble ones,
wooden ones, and retro orange, green and yellow Formica ones.
