Because of the size of our house I am challenged with many of the same issues as people that live in apartments. No longer can I entertain large groups of friends and family at one time. However, I can still entertain. Now my gatherings are more intimate but still just as fun.
I have partnered with Apartment Guide to share with you tips for “Budget-Friendly Pint Size Parties”. As an Apartment Guide Blog Partner I will be sharing budget-friendly tips for entertaining in your apartment.
When your space is limited don’t focus on extra seating for your guest. People enjoy standing and mingling during parties. Extra seating makes for a more formal setting and can cause clutter in small spaces. Serve a buffet style dinner as oppose to a formal setting. A Buffet style dinner allows guest to serve themselves and gives you free time to mingle and entertain. Serve wine, beer and soda instead of a full bar. This limits your guests choices to red, white or beer and saves tons on purchasing costly liquor. You can also suggest to your guest to B.Y.O.B “Bring Your Own Bottle.” Although this is something I personally don’t do when I invite guest over.
Apartment Guide offers tips on how to entertain in your apartment and make the most of your space on the Apartment Guide Blog.
Do “themed” hors d’ oeuvres instead of a big bulky meal. With the upcoming holidays their are several themes to choose from. A bread cornucopia filled with fresh rolls would make a lovely setting on your buffet. Small link sausages and meatballs go along way at parties. As well as vegetable and fruit tray with dip. Choose festive paper goods, plates, cups and silverware as oppose to your good china. They make for easy clean up and can be found in array of colors and themes.
