Several weeks ago I received and started the Cinch diet program. I received shakes, teas, capsule supplements, and several other items in the Cinch Starter kit. The first week on the plan I did very well, I lost over 4 pounds which is very good for me, I have the hardest time losing weight.
After the first week, life got in the way. First, it was a night out on the town with the hubs, unexpected totally out of the blue. Then, a visit from an old friend which included dinner at my favorite restaurant. Before I knew it, Cinch had been moved to the back burner, but not totally forgotten.
See, in addition to sending me the product, Cinch also has an online Facebook Group. So, even though I had fallen off and was no longer using the product I still received support and encouragement.
I credit the support group and the gentle nudging for getting me back on track. I stopped waiting for a Monday to get started. Yeah, that was one of my excuses for a while.
I purchased a full length mirror, looked at my body without a stitch of clothing and decided I was not happy with the body staring back at me.
For one week, I had Cinch shakes twice a day and a sensible dinner. I did falter a few days and had a few potato chips. But I am extremely happy to announce I lost those four pounds again! I’m not dwelling on the fact that if I had originally stayed on the program, where I would be now. No, I’m moving forward and taking this life change one day at a time.
Life is about choices. While I will most definitely make mistakes on my journey, it is good to keep in mind every morsel I place in my mouth. Sometimes I make the right the choice, sometimes I don’t. But that awareness is their. It keeps me grounded and on the right path. Of course I will from time to time indulge in some of my favorite foods. I’m a “foodie” I love food! But, it will no longer be a way of life for me. I would like to give my most “heartfelt” thanks to Sommer Poquette, my” Cinch cheerleader”, who understands that “pushing” me to do something will never get the job done. Her kind emails and “gentle nudgings” were very helpful to me.
