The Mexene Chili powder is definitely the beginning for great chili. My middle son loves chili but hates beans. I believe the Mexene Chili Powder with it’s rich dark flavor gave my chili the bean taste without the beans. What I love most about Chili is that it is one of those recipes where it is always changing and evolving. Well, mine does anyway. Here is my recipe for Turkey Chili:
Tonya’s Turkey Chili
1 pound ground Turkey
1 Large Can Red Gold Tomatoes (diced)
1 Onion Chopped
1 tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder
1 can whole kernel corn
1 Mexene Chili Pack
1 cup of water
1 tbsp. Louisiana hot Sauce
1 small can tomato paste
Brown Turkey and onion in med pot or sauce pan. Add tomatoes,,corn, seasonings, water and cumin. Mix together and let simmer on med heat uncovered for 2 hours. I serve with cornbread & crackers and a dollop of sour cream.
